Between salt spray, relentless UV, and the fine grit that rides in on the wind, a boat’s finish loses its edge after a single South Florida season — the gloss flattens, water spots set in, and the gelcoat starts to chalk. A marine ceramic coating gets ahead of all of it.
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer built around silica dioxide (SiO₂) technology that chemically bonds to your boat’s gelcoat or painted surface. That bond is the whole difference. Wax and sealants simply rest on top of the finish, which is why they wear thin and wash off every few months. A ceramic coating cures into the surface and hardens into a clear, glass-like layer — so salt and water sheet off, UV is turned away before it can fade the finish, and the surface takes on a depth a wax coat can’t reach.

It’s not just about looks — it’s real protection. A quality ceramic coating does two jobs at once: it defends the long-term condition and resale value of your boat, and it makes every wash faster and easier for as long as it’s on there.
Sun & Oxidation Protection
The Florida sun is the single biggest threat to any marine finish — it’s what turns sharp gelcoat dull, faded, and chalky. The ceramic layer works like a UV filter, so oxidation sets in far more slowly and your finish holds its color and depth for years longer.
Water-Repellent & Hydrophobic
The coating makes the surface aggressively hydrophobic, so water pulls into tight beads and sheets straight off instead of drying on the finish. That means quicker rinse-downs, far fewer water spots, and less salt and grime building up between details.
Showroom-Deep Gloss
Beyond protection, a ceramic coating adds clarity and reflectivity that makes the finish look wet and mirror-deep — the kind of gloss people notice at the dock. Unlike a wax shine that flattens in a few weeks, this one holds season after season.
Stain & Contaminant Resistance
Because the surface is slick and non-porous, marine contaminants — fuel film at the waterline, bird droppings, salt crust, and mineral deposits — struggle to grab hold. Instead of etching in and staining, they release and wipe away with a normal wash.

The foundation of any coating job. After we’ve corrected and prepped the gelcoat through multiple stages, we lay down a marine-grade ceramic layer across the hull and topsides — a hard, hydrophobic, UV-resistant shell that beads off salt and water, pulls a deeper gloss out of the finish, and cuts your washing effort way down. With proper prep and basic upkeep, expect roughly two years of protection from a single application.

A dedicated hydrophobic coating for your helm glass, windshield, and enclosure panels. Rain, salt spray, and mist bead up and blow clear instead of smearing across your line of sight — sharper visibility when you’re running, and far less time wiping down glass at the dock.

Outboard cowlings sit fully exposed to sun and salt all day, and they’re often the first thing to fade on a boat. A ceramic coating shields that painted cowling finish from UV and salt corrosion, keeps the color deep and glossy, and makes the whole cowling far easier to wipe clean between trips.

If your boat is already wrapped or wearing marine protection film, we can lay a ceramic topper over it to add gloss, hydrophobic performance, and durability that extends the life of the wrap or film underneath. Because it goes on directly over your graphics or film, this is a wrap-safe process best trusted to the shop that installed it — which, as a full-service surface shop, is exactly what we are.

For boats that already carry a ceramic coating from us, this keeps it performing at its peak. We pair a proper maintenance wash with a booster topper that re-energizes the coating’s water-repelling properties and adds life to the layer already on the boat, plus periodic check-ups so we catch wear early. It’s built into our Bluewater membership and available as a standalone service.
Our Process
A coating is only as good as the surface beneath it. A ceramic coating is completely transparent, so it doesn’t hide flaws — it seals them in. Any swirl marks, oxidation, or water spotting left on the surface gets locked under the coating permanently. That’s why we never coat a boat we haven’t corrected first: we wash, decontaminate, and polish the finish to the best condition it can hold, and only then does the ceramic go on.
